On October 8th, 2022 TreePeople’s An Evening Under The Harvest Moon fundraiser returned to Coldwater Canyon Park. For one night only, our woodland wonderland was transformed into a magical ballroom under the stars. The evening kicked off with TreePeople CEO Cindy Montańez and board chair Philip Boesch showcasing TreePeople’s impact in at-risk communities across Southern California not only in building shade equity in communities that need it the most, but also in connecting youth to the natural world and inspiring the next generation of environmental leaders. Susan Drake, co-owner of Casa Automotive Group and Subaru Of Sherman Oaks, was honored with TreePeople’s inaugural Jim Hardie Award in recognition for her tireless support of the organization’s work and its home at Coldwater Canyon Park. In total, TreePeople raised over $360,000 that will allow us to continue the fight to grow green communities across Southern California.
