WANTED: Friendly Faces to Empower LA!

How did you first hear about TreePeople?

Probably word of mouth. Maybe a friend invited you to plant trees with them at one of our volunteer events, or shared one of our blogs on Facebook.

Word of mouth is a powerful tool. As a non-profit, it’s a tool we rely on to grow our organization and fulfill our mission of growing a greener LA.

Thankfully, we have an amazing crew of outreach volunteers to help. These special people are a friendly face in the community who represent us at special events all over Los Angeles County–community festivals, environmental fairs, concerts and so on. They raise awareness about our volunteer opportunities, workshops and memberships.

This year, we have big goals to expand our mission, and we can’t do it without more people (like you!) to spread the word.

In particular, we plan to grow our Sustainable Solutions program that encourages Angelenos to capture rainwater, transform their landscapes with climate-appropriate plants and conserve water at home.

That’s where you come in! If you’re passionate about empowering people to take action in their community, we need YOU. Join our team of inspirational outreach volunteers and make a difference to create a shaded, healthy and water-secure LA.

Don’t stress! You don’t need to be a rainwater harvesting expert. Actually, you don’t need to know the difference between a rain barrel and an umbrella! We’ll teach you the specifics– from practical public speaking skills, to outreach strategies and more.

Our next training is February 27th. Don’t miss it! Ready to sign up? RSVP for the training now!
