City of Los Angeles Rain Barrel Rebates
Capturing the rain is one of many steps we can take to create a water-secure region.
Did you know DWP and MWD give up to a $35 rebate for up to 2 rain barrels? Looking to go bigger? Get a cistern! Rebates are available-- $250 for each cistern bought.

City of Los Angeles Turf Reduction Rebate
The MWD no longer offers sweeping incentives across the region, but there are still some municipalities that do! Click below to see if your city still offers turf removal rebates so you can replace it with native and climate-appropriate plants instead.

Adopt a Shade Tree
Did you know you can get free trees if you’re an L.A. City resident? City Plants (funded by the L.A. Department of Water and Power) offers free shade trees through this special program. Visit their website and have up to seven free trees for your yard delivered right to your door, or request a street tree to be planted in front of your home. Don’t forget to mention TreePeople when asked how you heard about the program!
