What We Do
TreePeople inspires, engages and supports people to take personal responsibility for the urban environment, making it safe, healthy, fun and sustainable and to share the process as a model for the world.
To achieve this, we...
- Train and support communities to plant and care for trees
- Educate schoolchildren and adults about environmental issues
- Demonstrate sustainable solutions to urban ecosystem problems
- Work with government agencies on critical water issues
- Operate a beautiful public park
We invite you to volunteer with us, take part in our programs, dedicate a tree and visit our headquarters in Coldwater Canyon Park.
What we don’t do
- Protect trees from being cut down
- Trim residential trees
- Sell, give away or accept donations of live Christmas trees
- Plant trees outside the Los Angeles area
