Rosa Bautista

Elementary Education  Senior Manager

Rosa Donis, Elementary Education Senior Manager, has been with Tree People since 1996. She has worked with over 4,000 schools and has reached over 150,000 students with Tree People’s unique environmental education approach. Rosa has been a presenter at the Association for Environmental and Outdoor Education Conference and continues to represent Tree People at other workshops and conferences.

Rosa was born in Colima, Mexico and grew up in East L.A. Being an active participant in her community Rosa organized a “green team” of over 50 people to help plant 26 trees at Miles Elementary School. After that planting she embraced community organizing and has helped transform our citizen forester program to become a source for Spanish speaking people that want to plant trees in their schools, neighborhoods and park. As a result Rosa has helped organize plantings at additional schools in the San Fernando Valley and south Los Angeles area.  She continues her work of managing Eco-tours, moonlight hikes and supporting the citizen forestry program with great joy and love for her job.

Rosa is fluent in Spanish and is available to speak about the importance of educating people about nature's cycles and our impact on the environment. She is dedicated to her family, community and the environment
