Once Upon a Canyon Night

After presenting 12 wonderful seasons of popular entertainment in TreePeople’s beautiful S. Mark Taper Foundation Amphitheatre, the volunteers of Actors Conservatory Ensemble are taking a much-needed break this summer. But they plan on being back in 2014 with a full season of their eclectic mix of concerts, comedy, plays and family shows in a unique setting that the LA WEEKLY described as “surely the cutest outdoor venue in town…with a super friendly vibe, like those small towns you’ve heard of”.

Past seasons were filled with great concerts by Billy Valentine, Mark Copeland & his Big Band, Contemporary Jazz Pianist Lao Tizer, Celtic Harpist Julie Mondin, I See Hawks in LA, The String Family Players, Lou Barlow and more! Performers who’ve donated their time and talent to our readings include Robert Forster, Mariette Hartley, Ed Begley, Jr., Ben McKenzie, Jordana Spiro, Harry Lennix, Robert Guillaume, Charlie Robinson, Walt Goggins, Charles Durning, Robert Culp, Sal Viscuso and Meagan Fay. And our audiences have enjoyed spoken word evenings and comedy nights with Paula Poundstone, Sinbad, Jessica Tuck’s “Spark Off Rose” and “Def Poetry Jam’s” Poetri.

We would like to thank these performers - and our amazing volunteer crews - for all our past seasons!
