Once Upon a Canyon Night

This September, TreePeople is bringing back three of our all time favorites for a “short and sweet” 12th season of live entertainment. As always, shows take place in the beautiful S. Mark Taper Foundation Amphitheatre in TreePeople’s Coldwater Canyon Park, which the LA WEEKLY described in their “Best of LA” issue as “surely the cutest outdoor venue in town…with a super friendly vibe, like those small towns you’ve heard of”.

Past seasons were filled with great concerts by Mark Copeland & his Big Band, Contemporary Jazz Pianist Lao Tizer, Billy Valentine, I See Hawks in LA, Lou Barlow and more! Performers who’ve donated their time and talent to our readings include Robert Forster, Mariette Hartley, Ben McKenzie, Jordana Spiro, Harry Lennix, Robert Guillaume, Charlie Robinson, Walt Goggins, Charles Durning, Robert Culp and Meagan Fay. And our audiences have enjoyed spoken word evenings and comedy nights with Paula Poundstone, Jessica Tuck’s “Spark Off Rose” and “Def Poetry Jam’s” Poetri. We would like to thank these performers and our volunteer crews for 11 wonderful past seasons!

Admission prices vary by performance and all proceeds benefit TreePeople, a non-profit organization. TreePeople Members, seniors and students always receive a discount. Join TreePeople as a member for just $25 at the box office – including your admission! - and up to 3 others in your party may enjoy the member discount.
