Forestry Education Manager
Linda Eremita is a certified arborist through the International Society of Arboriculture and a seasoned educator. Since joining TreePeople in 1998, Linda has held a number of roles including Volunteer Coordinator and Nursery Manager before assuming her current role as Forestry Education Manager. In designing and leading our urban forestry workshops, she plays a vital role in training our volunteer leaders and Citizen Foresters to create a sustainable L.A.
Linda loves to teach and pass on accurate horticultural/ arboricultural information to her students. After earning a B.S. in Crop Science from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, with a concentration in Plant Protection, she moved to Seattle and worked for more than 14 years in the nursery trade, landscape gardening/ design and tree care and planting non-profits.
She and her spouse live in the South Bay where they raise cats, a dog, children and many native plants and fruit trees. They also enjoy camping, hiking and learning how we can all live on earth and keep it healthy.
