Los Angeles - On October 3 Hollywood's eco-supporters join L.A.-based TreePeople for the Annual gala fundraiser An Evening Under the Harvest Moon. The event honors the Boeing Company for their leadership in environmental stewardship and commitment to a sustainable world. The event takes place outdoors in Coldwater Canyon Park, TreePeople's headquarters.

An Evening Under the Harvest Moon is supported by actors JESSICA TUCK (True Blood, High School Musical 2), SARAH CLARKE (Twilight, Trust Me, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse), EMILY DESCHANEL (Bones, My Sister's Keeper), XANDER BERKELEY (The Mentalist, Taken), RENE RUSSO (Yours, Mine and Ours, The Thomas Crown Affair), MARIN HINKLE (Imagine That, Two and a Half Men), DAVID RAMSEY (Dexter, Pay it Forward), MELISSA GEORGE (Grey's Anatomy, Alias), CLAUDIO DABED (Pretendiendo), MARY LOU METZGER (The Lawrence Welk Show) and more.

An Evening Under the Harvest Moon is TreePeople's annual recognition dinner and awards program celebrating 36 years of community service. Proceeds benefit TreePeople's forestry, environmental education and sustainability programs in Southern California. The evening includes celebrity bingo and outdoor activities in Coldwater Canyon Park at the newly built Center for Community Forestry.

Started by teenagers in the 1970’s TreePeople has planted more than two million trees in the L.A. area with the help of hardworking volunteers. As acknowledged leaders in the U.S. Citizen Forestry movement, TreePeople supports residents, students, government agencies, businesses and neighborhoods by providing the tools to take environmental action in their communities. TreePeople’s recent project is to help restore the fire damaged mountains of Southern California.
