Help keep our mountains beautiful…and fire safe!
Support vital fire prevention efforts.
Within the areas surrounding the Santa Monica Mountains – from the Hollywood Hills in Los Angeles to Point Mugu in Ventura County – more than half a million people are directly affected by fire danger.
But nearly every weekend, TreePeople works with volunteers to remove highly flammable invasive plants and restore the native ecosystem of the Santa Monica Mountains. This is critical for preventing intense wildfires and protecting vulnerable neighborhoods.
You are invited to support this work. Spend a day in beautiful natural areas in Calabasas, Topanga or Agoura Hills with a group of like-minded folks to plant, water and care for native trees and plants, and pull out invasive, flammable weeds. Or make a donation. It’s easy.
Here’s how you can help.
Thanks to the generosity of Ms. Principal, you can now easily sign up as a volunteer in TreePeople’s hands-on ecological restoration efforts. It’s as simple as texting TREE to 51555 followed by your full name and email address. You will be connected to TreePeople’s calendar of events, where you can sign up for events on the weekend of your choice. Groups and clubs are warmly welcomed.
Too busy to get out there in person? By texting TREE to 80888, you can donate $10 to support these critical fire prevention efforts, payable through your mobile phone billing.
