Volunteer Supervisor Training

Sun, 07/22/2012 - 4:00pm - 8:00pm

Sun Valley

Join the TreePeople urban forestry team as a Volunteer Supervisor, and become an essential part of leading volunteers throughout Los Angeles.

At this fun, informative, and hands-on training you will learn the vital role our supervisors play in ensuring successful community events, as well as the technical skills of how to plant and care for trees. Trees need people, people need trees, and TreePeople needs you to help lead the way!

This training will take place on Elmer Ave in Sun Valley. The Elmer Ave retro-fit project is one of Los Angeles’ most important residential stormwater demonstration sites. We will spend some time learning about the different uses of stormwater capture,  natives plants being used on this street, and tree care.

PRE-REQUISITES: You must be at least 16 years old and have attended a minimum of two TreePeople urban forestry events.
