Community Sustainability Workshops

Have you ever wondered how to collect or redirect precious rainwater? Or how to move away from a thirsty planted landscape to a more climate appropriate one?

Community Sustainability Workshops

We offer FREE, Community Sustainability Workshops for people ready to take on the role of making their community more sustainable. Training events are held at TreePeople’s Center for Community Forestry, where people gather to learn more about what each of us can do.

Join us and meet our partners from Rain Barrels International, Greywater Corps and the Master Gardeners.  They will bring barrels and answer your questions about gardening and grey water, so that you can learn and then go home and take action.

Greywater Corps designs and installs residential greywater irrigation systems and teaches homeowners how to use them. Their systems help turn homes into an essential part of a healthy ecosystem.

University of California Cooperative Extension Los Angeles County Master Gardener volunteers provide information for more sustainable gardening.

Rain Barrels Intl is the leading resource of Rain Barrels for Rainwater Recycling, Renewable Water Solutions, Water Recycling and is a leading supplier of retailers across the US.

Reservations for the workshop are required.

Please note, a variety of plants are available for sale on a first come first served basis.  Barrels must be ordered in advance.
