Community Sustainability Workshop - EarthWorks Workshop

Learn how the earth works to create a more sustainable environment…right in your own backyard!

Participants learn the “why” and “how” of low impact best management practices (BMP’s) for their property and receive assessment tools and solutions to implement basic DIY know-how. A variety of incentives, membership discounts and other resources will be provided.

Note: “EarthWorks” is Part One of the Sustainable Solutions Series. “WaterWorks” will be offered at our next session. Topics for EarthWorks are:

• Mapping water supply and needs
• Creating permeability
• Infiltration pits, berms and swales
• Turf removal and mulching
• Rain gardens
