Citizen Forester Program

TreePeople’s Citizen Forester program gives ordinary people the extraordinary ability to improve their environment by planting and caring for trees and incorporating “forest-mimicking” technologies into their urban landscape.  A vibrant model of civic engagement, the program empowers the people of Los Angeles to make their urban communities more livable.

TreePeople’s Forestry staff is hard at work with Citizen Forester efforts in the NE San Fernando Valley and South L.A., but anyone living or working in L.A. can participate in this exciting program.  You can simply volunteer, train to become a volunteer supervisor, or form volunteer teams to support current Citizen Forester projects.

COMING SOON for L.A. residents outside of the NE San Fernando Valley and South L.A., TreePeople will be providing online trainings to support your greening projects. Click here to receive online training updates.
